Apple iPad 11-inch (A16), 2025 — Blue Wi-Fi 128GB — manufacturer product image
Web, video, schoolwork and everyday tablet use

Apple iPad (A16)

11-inch 2025, Wi-Fi, 128GB; not iPad Air

Enough iPad for watching, reading and everyday work. The A16 iPad handles the jobs most people buy a basic tablet for. Its non-laminated 60Hz screen and lack of Apple Intelligence are the main reasons to consider an Air instead. Pencil and keyboard compatibility deserve a check before purchase, because accessories can change the total cost considerably.

Google Pixel 9a — Iris — manufacturer product image
Everyday Android photography without flagship spending

Google Pixel 9a

2025, 128GB; older-generation value candidate

A good older phone at the right discount. The camera, battery endurance and long support commitment make the 9a a useful value option. Slow charging and the lack of a telephoto camera are the main compromises. Its seven-year update promise runs from the original release, so compare the remaining support and current price with newer phones before buying.

Apple iPhone 17 — Lavender, standard model — manufacturer product image
An iOS phone with a smoother display and more base storage

Apple iPhone 17

Standard 2025 model, 256GB; not Pro

The standard iPhone is easier to live with. A 120Hz screen and larger starting storage address two practical reasons people previously paid for a Pro. The standard 17 still lacks a dedicated telephoto camera. For an older discounted model, the price gap to the current generation matters more than AI features alone.
