Next Interrupt

Privacy

Next Interrupt has no accounts and no advertising trackers. This page lists everything the site stores and why.

In your browser

Your followed topics, muted sources, saved stories, feed density and light/dark preference are kept in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your site data removes them. Followed topics, muted sources and keywords are sent with feed requests to select stories, but are not saved on the server. Bookmarks and appearance settings stay on your device.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address, the frequency you chose (daily or weekly), where on the site you signed up, and when you subscribed, confirmed and were last sent an edition. We email you only after you confirm. Every edition has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all further editions.

Price alerts

If you create a price alert, we store your email address, the product, your target price, the last price we checked, and the alert’s status. We send one email when a listed price reaches your target and then close the alert. You can cancel an alert from the link in its emails.

Shopping link counts

When you follow a shopping link, we count the click by the part of the page it came from, the retailer, the product and the page path. We do not store your IP address, browser details or any identifier that links clicks to you. Retailers you visit apply their own privacy policies, and affiliate programs may set cookies on their sites to attribute purchases.

Abuse prevention

Short-lived, hourly hashed network counters limit automated signup and click requests. The counters are deleted after a day and are not used to identify readers or track browsing.

Analytics

When enabled, we use Plausible Analytics, which measures page views and shopping-link clicks without cookies or personal data.

Email delivery

Emails are sent through Resend, which processes your address to deliver them. We do not sell or share subscriber lists.

Removing your data

Unsubscribing or cancelling an alert stops all emails. To have your address deleted entirely, reply to any email from us.
