What reviewers found

An affordable Mac for the everyday jobs

Web browsing, writing and ordinary office work suit the Neo’s quiet design. The fixed 8GB of memory is the reason to spend more on an Air for development, heavier multitasking or creative work. There is no keyboard backlight, and Touch ID comes with the 512GB model, so the cheapest configuration has real compromises.

An everyday computer

RTINGS and TechRadar support basic productivity and media use. TechRadar finds the 8GB ceiling relevant to multitasking despite a good everyday experience.

Memory comes before a chip headline

Fixed 8GB leaves less room for demanding development, many applications or heavier creative work. The Air provides more memory configurations.
