Meta Muse

Meta’s personal AI agent, launched September 8, that does tasks such as sending email, booking travel and filling in forms on its own secure cloud computer. You can message it in the Muse app or in WhatsApp.

Best for

US users who want an agent that completes errands for them, inside apps they already use such as WhatsApp.

Worth knowing

US only so far, on iOS, Android and muse.ai. It runs on Muse Spark; Meta says Muse Wonder is coming, subscribers first. Meta says it is free for most of what people need, with paid plans for more, but its own pages do not list the prices. Check what an agent is allowed to buy or send before connecting accounts.

A task to try

Ask it to research one errand, such as comparing two refundable bookings, and to stop and report before it buys or sends anything.

An agent that runs errands for you, a cheap coding subscription and Meta’s first frontier model.

Try it: Ask it to compare two refundable hotel options and stop before booking either.

Muse Code

A multi-agent coding tool for the terminal and CI, with approvals and a sandbox on by default.

Try it: Give it one failing test and require a patch plus the test output before anything is merged.

Meta Model API

Pay-per-token access to Muse Wonder, Muse Spark, Muse Image and transcription, through an OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

Try it: Point an existing OpenAI-SDK client at the API and run the same test prompts you use elsewhere.

The Muse app is US only and still runs on Muse Spark; Muse Wonder arrives there later, subscribers first. Muse Wonder Full is only in Muse Code’s $50 and $200 plans. Contributor API models are cheap because Meta trains on what you send.

Models to know

General & coding

Muse Wonder

Meta’s first frontier model (October 12), built for agent work in law, finance, health and coding. It costs the same as Claude Opus 5.5 and scores 52 against Opus’s 58, so test it on your own tasks before switching.

High volume

Muse Spark 1.3

The model behind the Muse app and Meta’s recommended Spark version for new work. Its Contributor version costs a fraction as much, but Meta trains on what you send it.

1Password opens the door to AI agents — without handing over your passwords ↗

It’s no longer enough for AI agents to browse the web and check your email; now, they want to sign into your accounts too, and one of the most popular password managers is ready to help out. 1Password has just announced a new feature that allows AI agents like ChatGPT Dots, the just-unveiled Claude Duet, Grok Bot, Meta Muse, and more to tap into your vault of stored usernames and passwords, but without actually seeing them.
