AI summary of the reporting below · Updated · How we work

Nintendo is launching Nintendo Switch Sports Resort exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. The new motion-controlled collection features 12 core sports, expanding on the franchise's lineage after 2022's Nintendo Switch Sports reached nearly 19 million units sold. [2][3]

The title revamps classic minigames like Boxing, Bowling, and Tennis while introducing debut activities such as Skateboarding and Thumb Wrestling. It also integrates leisurely pastimes like Power Cruising and Prop Plane, the latter allowing players to freely explore landmarks across Wuhu Island. However, fans of the previous entry will find that Badminton, Chambara, and Football have been removed from the launch roster. [1][2]
