What reviewers found

Put the savings toward the rest of your PC

The 16GB 9060 XT is a sensible starting point for a lower-cost gaming build. Its appeal fades if a 16GB 5060 Ti is similarly priced and you use Nvidia-specific features. Compare native and upscaled results separately, especially in demanding ray-traced games, and avoid confusing this card with the 8GB model.

Strengths and limitations

Pros

  • 16 GB capacity in a lower-positioned GPU.
  • FSR-capable RDNA 4 hardware.
  • A credible option for a smaller gaming build.

Cons

  • Board premiums can undermine the value case.
  • Heavy path tracing can favor Nvidia alternatives.
  • An 8GB listing is a different purchase.

In depth

Where it fits

Tom’s Hardware treats the 16GB model as capable lower-cost hardware. TweakTown finds game-to-game variation, so a suite average should not replace your game list.

Native and upscaled workloads

TechSpot’s comparison uses DLSS and FSR. Judge image quality and input responsiveness alongside frame rate, with identical output resolution.

Ray tracing and board choice

TweakTown finds progress in ray tracing but heavier path tracing still changes the choice. Its favorable cooling result belongs to the Sapphire cooler.
