Apple has issued the first iOS 27.3 public beta for iPhone users, arriving shortly after the developer build was rolled out on November 3. The release revives a redesigned Health app that was held back from the final iOS 27.2 update, while introducing custom options for StandBy clock faces and new capabilities for Apple Fitness+ such as Gym Strength, a four-week lifting program. [1]
The revamped Health app introduces an Insights tab for devices supporting Apple Intelligence to track activity and sleep trends, alongside a Longevity section that uses Apple Watch metrics to calculate a user's Health Age. For browsing, Safari adds vertical tabs and an Adaptive Dark Mode to tone down bright websites. In addition, expanded Siri AI controls now let users set up Journal entries, schedule future iMessages, or generate and save playlists directly within Apple's built-in software. [1]
The update also tailors interface controls for the iPhone Duo foldable. A modified Reachability setting shifts screen content sideways toward a user's thumb rather than pulling it downward as on standard iPhones. Users can turn the option on under Accessibility settings to make navigating the device's display easier with one hand. [1][2]
