Ubisoft released patch 1.0.8 on October 27 for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, marking the title's final major content update. The download ranges from 2 to 4.5GB on PC and PS5, while Xbox players face a larger 15.5GB installation. [2]
The long-awaited New Game Plus mode lets players carry over Edward's gear, hideout progress, fleet ships, inventory goods, and Jackdaw upgrades, though forts must be reclaimed and fog of war resets. Players can repeat NG+ up to five times with escalating difficulty, earning a new currency called Escudos for exclusive items. The patch also introduces Nightmare Mode, which tightens parry windows, increases enemy lethality, and eliminates the safety net that prevents instant deaths from explosives and bullets. [2][3]
Beyond the core replay features, the update adds new takedown animations, cosmetics, community chests, and general bug fixes. While this marks the end of major patches for current platforms, Eurogamer notes the game appears bound for Nintendo's Switch 2 with these additions included. [2]
