Amazon slashes Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones by 50% in a limited color discount

Amazon has discounted Sony's WH-1000XM5 wireless noise-canceling headphones to $198, marking a return to their all-time low price. The discount takes $201 off the $399.99 recommended retail price, delivering a 50% markdown. However, the promotion applies specifically to the Smoky Pink colorway. [1][2]

The over-ear headphones feature active noise canceling alongside up to 30 hours of battery life with noise canceling engaged. Additional features include USB-C quick-charge support, multipoint Bluetooth pairing, speak-to-chat, wear detection, hands-free calling, and sound customization via an accompanying app. [2]

Although Sony has since moved on to a newer flagship model, the WH-1000XM5 remains a notable option for travel, commuting, and everyday work, with the steep discount lowering the barrier of entry for premium active noise cancellation. [2]
